FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Florida Gulf Coast University baseball team has added an infielder who is no stranger to the Southwest Florida diamond, signing Grand Rapids, Michigan, native and Florida SouthWestern State College transfer Jonah St. Antoine to its roster, as announced via FGCU baseball’s social media channels on July 6.

The left-handed hitting, right-handed throwing rising junior comes to FGCU following his 2026 campaign at FSW. In 50 games for the Buccaneers, St. Antoine posted a .377 batting average, a .477 on-base percentage, and a .553 slugging percentage. In 159 at-bats, he recorded 60 hits, 11 doubles, five home runs, and 47 RBIs. He walked 20 times while striking out just 12 times on the season. St. Antoine also led FSW in both hit-by-pitches (15) and sacrifice flies (5) while totaling 17 extra-base hits.

Defensively, St. Antoine posted a .978 fielding percentage across 50 games for the Buccaneers. In 137 total chances, he recorded 87 putouts and 47 assists while committing three errors. He also helped turn 18 double plays, which ranked third on the team.

Under the NCAA’s five-years-to-play-five eligibility rule, St. Antoine joins FGCU with two full seasons of athletic eligibility remaining. Having launched his collegiate career in 2023–24, his five-year clock runs through the 2027–28 academic year.

His 2026 performance built on 2025, where he hit .561 with 13 RBIs through 11 games at FSW before a season-ending injury cut his year short. Prior to his time in Fort Myers, St. Antoine began his collegiate career at the University of Pittsburgh in 2024, appearing in 17 games as a freshman and logging his first career hit on a two-run double against Akron.

A graduate of Forest Hills Northern High School in Michigan, St. Antoine was a career .410 hitter in prep play.

He comes from an athletic family. His mother, Kendra, played college softball at Hillsdale College, while his father, Scott, played college baseball at Grand Rapids Community College. His brother, Luc, played baseball at Adrian College.
