FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Florida Gulf Coast softball team announced the addition of former James Madison University right-handed pitcher Allie Braly on Thursday as the Eagles’ final transfer portal signee for the 2026–27 roster.

“Allie is an incredible addition to our program,” FGCU head coach Lindsay Fico told FGCU Athletics. “Her success at both St. Francis and JMU speaks for itself. We are excited to add a pitcher with a tremendous amount of experience and competitiveness. She knows what it takes to win and we look forward to what she accomplishes as an Eagle.”

The rising senior from Kansas City, Missouri, comes to Fort Myers with two remaining seasons of eligibility under the NCAA’s “5-in-5” model. Braly, a biology major whose career aspirations lie in marine animal rehabilitation, spent the 2026 season at James Madison. While with the Dukes, she tossed 3.1 scoreless and hitless innings to earn a 9-7 win over No. 23 Virginia.

Before her time at JMU, Braly spent two seasons at St. Francis (Pa.), where she emerged as one of the top arms in the Northeast Conference. As a sophomore in 2025, she earned First Team All-NEC and NEC All-Tournament Team honors, posting a 15-13 record with a 3.06 ERA. She led the conference in wins (15) and innings pitched (148.2) while pacing the Red Flash in opposing batting average (.263) and strikeouts (70).

Her 2025 campaign included a career milestone on March 23, throwing a no-hitter with seven strikeouts against Le Moyne. She later threw a complete-game shutout against LIU on May 11 to clinch the NEC Championship and started both games for Saint Francis in the 2025 NCAA College Station Regional.

As a freshman in 2024, Braly recorded a 2.06 ERA across 17 innings with 15 strikeouts and three saves, helping Saint Francis secure an NCAA Tournament berth as the No. 3 seed in the Austin Regional.

Braly joins an FGCU pitching staff that was rebuilt following the graduation of senior Grace Taylor and the departure of two pitchers via the transfer portal. In Fort Myers, Braly steps into a room balancing veteran leadership and rising talent, joining senior pitchers Victoria Ash and Mikie Lieving, sophomore transfers Emma Eekhoff and Julia Moore, and incoming freshmen Jessie Crye and Riley Huckaby.
