FGCU Head coach Raina Harmon spoke with FGCU Athletics about her first career win and the first win for the team.

“Feels really good and I’ve been saying this I understand it’s my first win as a head coach but it’s the first win for our program. Just really proud of the way they executed tonight. You think about the Davidson game and the things that we had to clean up. Tonight wasn’t about Ave Maria it was about us and being able to run our offense at a high clip and searching for assist opportunities and limiting our turnovers and we did exactly that. We hit all our goals to be able to see us reach five people in double-digits. Jordan (Campbell) breaking out the amount of rebounds and assists that she had it was really good to be able to see. Eve Alexander who stepped in for Jalei (Pillow)to be able to put up what she did. Karina Gordon who didn’t start last game, leading scorer. I’m really pleased.” Harmon said.

“Obviously there’s some things that we can cleanup which is good and it’s November there should be some things but overall the carry over from last game into what we focused on for execution this game I’m really content with,” Harmon added.
